Clogs we clear every week
Kitchen sinks
Grease and food scraps build up over time until the sink won't drain.
Showers and tubs
Hair and soap scum are the usual culprits.
Toilets
"Flushable" wipes and too much paper cause most toilet clogs.
Main lines
Several drains backing up at once usually points to the main drain or sewer line.
The right equipment for the job
Every On Call plumbing truck carries professional cable machines to clear drains on the spot. For recurring clogs, camera inspection lets you see what's actually in the line. And for heavy grease or root buildup, we coordinate hydro-jetting through a trusted partner.
Why the same drain keeps clogging
A clog that keeps coming back is a symptom. It usually means grease buildup deep in the line, a sagging section of pipe or tree roots — and more snaking won't fix it for good.
A camera inspection shows exactly what's happening. Most of the time, a thorough cleaning solves it. If the camera shows damage, your plumber will show you the footage and explain your repair options — no guesswork, no pressure.

“Initially had another service technician from On Call Plumbing come to the house to service a drain line in our crawl space. He said that the drain was clogged and he would have to run a camera through the line to see the clog, he did not run the camera through the line as he stated. After the work was finished he stated that the drain pipes were too thin and could not be cleaned. He left the cap off the tap close to the house and dirty water was now running in the yard and he said would have to be left like that until we paid to have the drain line going to the city tap completely redone which would cost us more than $3000. My husband called to the office and Hank came out and within in minutes was able to figure out that drain needed to be snaked out. Which could have been done by the original plumber. He snaked the drain and within minutes the water flowed through the drains like it was supposed to. Hank saved us thousands of dollars in repairs.”
A few common questions.
Does a recurring clog mean I need a new sewer line?
Usually not. Most recurring clogs are fixed with a thorough cleaning. If it keeps coming back, a camera inspection shows what's going on in the line — and we'll only recommend repair if the camera shows damage.
How much does drain cleaning cost?
Our residential diagnostic fee is $89, waived when you go ahead with the work at the quoted price. Your plumber gives you a firm price on site before starting. Payment is due on site by cash, check or card, and your plumber can walk you through financing options for bigger jobs.
Should I use a chemical drain cleaner first?
They can make things worse. Harsh chemicals can damage older pipes and make the job more hazardous for your plumber. If you've already used one, just tell your plumber what and when.
Do you clean drains for businesses?
Yes. We clear drains for restaurants, offices and multifamily properties too — let us know it's a business when you call.
