Depending on the room, indoor units can mount high on the wall, sit flush in the ceiling as a cassette or install low on the floor. Your technician will recommend the style and spot that keep the room comfortable, drain properly and stay easy to service — not just the one that's least visible.
Single-room or multi-zone
One indoor unit is perfect for a single room. To handle several rooms, we design a multi-zone system where each space gets its own indoor unit and temperature control, all running off one outdoor unit. We size every zone for the room it serves.
What installation involves
A mini-split needs an outdoor unit location, indoor mounting spots, a small opening for refrigerant and drain lines, and an electrical connection. Your quote spells out all of it — including where the lines will run and any finish work — with one firm price before we begin.

Can a mini-split heat and cool?
Yes. Ductless mini-splits are heat pumps, so the same system keeps a room warm in winter and cool in summer.
Will one unit handle a whole floor?
Usually not evenly. One indoor unit works best for one open space. For several rooms, we design a multi-zone system with an indoor unit where you need it.
How much work is a mini-split installation?
Just a small opening for the refrigerant and drain lines, plus a spot for the outdoor unit and electrical connection. Your technician will show you exactly where everything goes before we start.
How much does a mini-split cost?
Your technician gives you one firm installed price on site. For repairs, our residential diagnostic fee is $89, waived when you go ahead with the work. Pay by cash, check or card, or ask about financing for a new installation.
Can each room be set differently?
Each room can usually have its own temperature, but indoor units on the same outdoor unit typically run in the same mode — all heating or all cooling. Your technician will explain what your system can do.
