The EPA recommends starting with the source of indoor air problems and good ventilation, with filtration as a helpful addition. That's how we approach it too: if the real issue is a leak, a dirty coil or poor airflow, we'll tell you — rather than selling you equipment that won't solve it.

Will better filtration help with allergies?
No filter can promise that. But reducing the dust, pollen and pet dander your system circulates can make a real difference in how your home feels. For health symptoms, talk to your doctor too.
Should I just buy the highest-rated filter?
It depends on your system. Higher-efficiency filters catch smaller particles, but some systems can't push enough air through them. Your technician will recommend the best filter your system can handle.
Can an air cleaner fix a mold problem?
No. Mold needs moisture, so the leak or humidity problem has to be fixed first. The EPA notes that air cleaners don't solve the source of mold. We'll tell you if what we find needs a remediation specialist.
How much do air quality upgrades cost?
Your technician gives you a firm installed price on site. Our residential diagnostic fee is $89, waived when you go ahead with the work. Pay by cash, check or card.
