“We have used On Call for a years for regular maintenance and bi-annual system checks. Overall, we've always been happy with the service but today was EXCEPTIONAL! Jamie called to confirm our inspection time and let me know the technician was on his way which is so appreciated and respectful of my time as a busy mom and someone who works from home. Sequoyah arrived at our home to perform our bi-annual check. He was on time, introduced himself, gave a full explanation of what he'd be doing and got right to work. When we finished, he went through everything that he found and showed me the photos he took. We are now good to go for the winter season which makes me very happy. I would highly recommend On Call and Sequoyah for all of your HVAC needs! Update: Late one evening, we realized the upstairs zone of our unit wasn't functioning properly and it was much hotter than we'd prefer. We called in to the after hours line and Acey was the technician who came out and SAVED THE DAY! He determined that the dampers needed to be replaced but he was able to get the unit to work temporarily since he didn't have those parts readily available. He got us our estimate the next day and then he was the one who came out made the repair. He was thorough and efficient. Acey was fantastic and I would highly recommend him as well!!!!”
A few common questions.
Does an older system always need to be replaced?
No. Age is just one factor. Many older systems have years left with the right repair. Your technician will tell you honestly whether a repair makes sense and give you prices for both repair and replacement if it's close.
Can you work on my furnace or heat pump?
Yes. Our NATE-certified technicians repair gas furnaces, heat pumps and ductless systems from every major brand — including Trane, which we install most often.
Should I keep resetting a system that shuts down?
No. A system that keeps shutting off is often a safety control doing its job. Repeated resets can make things worse. Note any code on the thermostat and call us.
How much does heating repair cost?
Our residential diagnostic fee is $89, waived when you go ahead with the repair at the quoted price. You'll get a firm price before any work begins. Pay on site by cash, check or card, and your technician can walk you through financing options in person.
My heat pump is blowing lukewarm air. Is it broken?
Heat pump air feels cooler than furnace air even when it's working right, and "AUX" or "EM HEAT" on your thermostat can be normal during cold snaps or defrost cycles. If your house isn't reaching the set temperature or the outdoor unit is caked in ice, call us.
