Our technicians troubleshoot the parts that fail most often — capacitors, contactors, fuses, controls, clogged condensate drains — along with airflow and refrigerant. Because different problems can cause the same symptom, we diagnose first and recommend a part only when we know it's the cause. Some repairs can be finished on the first visit with parts on hand; if a specialized part has to be ordered, we'll tell you up front.
Honest repair-or-replace advice
If your system is older or the repair is major, your technician will give you prices for both repair and replacement and a straight answer on which makes more sense — no pressure either way.

Emergency cooling service is available 24/7 at (803) 781-4357. Elderly family members, infants or anyone with a health condition at home? Tell us when you call. If someone is showing signs of heat illness, get them somewhere cool and call 911.

A few common questions.
My AC is blowing warm air. Does it need refrigerant?
Not necessarily. A clogged filter, a failed capacitor, a dirty coil or a drain problem can all cause warm air. Your technician will find the actual cause before recommending refrigerant or any part.
There's ice on my AC. What should I do?
Don't chip or melt it. Turn the system off and call us. Ice usually means an airflow or refrigerant problem that needs a technician.
How soon can you fix my AC?

How much does AC repair cost?
Our residential diagnostic fee is $89, waived when you go ahead with the repair at the quoted price. You'll get a firm price before any work begins. Pay on site by cash, check or card, and your technician can walk you through financing options in person.
My AC runs constantly. Do I need a new one?
Not necessarily. On the hottest Midlands days, a properly working AC may run for long stretches. If it can't keep up, runs nonstop in mild weather or your bills have jumped, it's worth a diagnosis before thinking about replacement.
