 ## Signs of a hidden leak

- A water bill that jumps for no reason
- Stains or soft spots on walls and ceilings
- Water under sinks or around the water heater
- The sound of running water when everything's off
- Warm spots on the floor or a musty smell

Water travels before it shows up, so the wet spot isn't always where the leak is. That's why we find the source first.

 ## How we find it

We start with the usual suspects — running toilets, hose bibs and fixture connections. Then we use your water meter and shut off parts of the system one at a time to narrow down where water is escaping, and inspect the plumbing in your crawl space. Suspected slab leaks may need specialized acoustic detection, which we'll quote separately before doing anything.

 ## Leak right now? Do this.

1. ### Turn off the water

Close the valve under the fixture or your main shutoff, if you can reach it safely.
2. ### Stay clear of electrical

Keep away from water near outlets or appliances, and don't go under a sagging ceiling.
3. ### Call (803) 781-4357

Emergency service is available 24/7. No need to open walls or pull up flooring first.

 ## The right fix — not a whole-house repipe

One leak rarely means your whole house needs new pipes. Most leaks come down to a failed connection or fixture that can be repaired on the spot. If you've had several leaks over the years, your plumber will talk you through whether a bigger repair makes sense — honestly, and with a price for each option.

> “I can’t recommend these folks enough. I had a water main bust 6am Monday morning. Gave them a call and was greeted by a nice young lady named Diana. She was incredibly kind, helpful and was able to give me a definitive window of time for service(9am-10pm). To my surprise, Sean, my new favorite plumber, was in my driveway at 8:30am ready to rock. Not only did he dig up, identify and repair the leak, he also was able to identify another leak nearby and repair it as well. In doing so, he gave me very useful information for the condition of my water main. His expertise and cool demeanor helped ease my woes. The prices did too! I fully plan to use them for any plumbing needs moving forward. As I said, I cannot recommend these folks enough. I knew the jingle was good but dang, the service is even better. Thank yall for all that you do!!”

★★★★★> “Mark and Jonathon found our leak and repaired it in a timely and efficient manner. We would definitely recommend them”

 ## A few common questions.

### Will you have to tear open my walls or floors?

Not always, but we work to keep any opening small. We narrow down the source first, so if we do need to open a wall or floor, it's in the right spot — and your plumber will explain exactly where and why before starting.

### My water bill jumped. Do I have a hidden leak?

It might. Running toilets and dripping hose bibs are common culprits, but a sudden jump with no obvious cause is worth checking. We'll test your meter to see whether water is escaping somewhere.

### Can you fix the leak the same day you find it?

Yes, when the leak is in an accessible spot and the parts are on hand. If more work is needed, your plumber will explain the next step and the price before starting.

### How much does leak detection cost?

Our residential diagnostic fee is $89, waived when you go ahead with the repair at the quoted price. You'll get a firm price before any work begins. Pay on site by cash, check or card, or ask your plumber about financing.
